Why aftermarket radio in 2001 grand am gt will not power on or do anything

I installed a aftermarket radio in my 2001 grand am gt with a wire harness I purchases
from Walmart connected everything like I was suppose to and got nothing radio would
not power on or do anything also my security light is on but not blinking but the car
starts with no problems could the security light being on be the cause for my radio not
work also I do have a factory amp a monsoon in the truck that hooked up. SOMEONE
PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. THANK YOU

The connector might be the issue, make sure the connector power wire is the same as the vehicles. You might have to get your multimeter out to determine if you have 12V to the correct wire to the headunit. Check the other ones as well.
