shudder with a hard acceleration

I have a 2000 Grand Am that has a shudder with a hard acceleration from a stopped condition. It happens at about 30 mph and 4000 rpm, which I assume is the shift from 1st to 2nd gear. It does not happen at slower with acceleration. Any ideas what my problem could be?

It could be shift control solenoids, they are located in the transmission so I would take it to a shop you trust that will do that kind of work, you may have to show them what is happening.
