Can my intake set off my check engine light for a 2000 grand am it's what I've been told help anyone any ideas

It can. If the intake manifold is leaking vacuum you'll have an overly lean air/fuel mixture. If you have the 3.8 (3800) V6 that's a real possibility. The 3.4 (3400) V6 blow head gaskets. HTH. -Jim

The four cylinder engines are usually pretty good. But if it does turn out to be the intake manifold then yes, exact same deal. Thank you for the best answer click. HTH. -Jim
