Yes. 99% of modern gasoline engines need the EGR valve to meet emissions. Here is yours. Same place on a 3100 or 3400 (and all other older 60 degree GM v-6's). If yours is acting up you can try to clean it. Use caution on the exhaust tube, you may need some penitrant.
