what causes a miss fire on cylinder 2

i took my 97 grand am to a mechanic and they did a compression check on it they
replaced number 2 injector and the spark plugs  did back to back tests on it  a week later
my chrck engine light came back on

Double check the new parts. You may have got a defect. Check the coil pack as well. If you have the 3400 V6 look for a blown head gasket. Those motors are notorious for that. HTH. -Jim
