Does it stay high idle or drop soon after?

It revs high continuously

Check for vacuum leaks.

If there's no leaks?

One or more of the sensors may need a cleaning or check for loose connections to them or replaced all those around the intake.,throttle body & PCV valve.

Cool. I'll let my son know your suggestions. New at this car thing so appreciate it. Will definitely come back here if I have more questions. Thank you

Thanks.

Suckmorelovemore, his suggestion were actually useful. We had evidently tried his suggestions before i came to this site. Unfortunately, not the problem but still helpful. And with all due respect, if I had to chose between you two by username sake on a car mechanics site, definitely would go with enginecreator over suckmorelovemore. Suckmore? Really? Thank you though for your opinion. Y'all have a great weekend
