Just put a new alternator on my son's 95 Pontiac Grand am and now it will not go over 30 Miles an hour. ??

Sounds like alternator is not charging,recheck your wiring then go have the new alternator checked from where you bought it.

It's charging and runs just won't go over 30 Miles an hour

Remove negative battery terminal for 10 seconds then reconnect may have to reset computer
