How to get turn signals to flash if replacing flasher doesn't fix problem

I replaced the turn signal flasher on my 1992 Grand Am and the hazards flash, but the turn signals still do not flash.  What is my next course of action?

most likely the combination switch on your steering column.

usualy theres 2 flashers... 1 for the hazards and 1 for the turn signals
