1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 6 cyl, 3.3L. Check engine light on, speedometer/odometer not working after changing battery

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 6 cyl, 3.3L.  Installed new battery - fired up the car - check enging light came on, speedometer & odemeter stopped working.  Prior to changing the battery the car ran like a champ!  No OBD Codes.  Dealer says they checked all the electrical and can't find anything.  Dealer says to replace the PCM and hopefully that will fix it.  I'm not willing to spend $1105.00 for "hopefully".  Is there a PCM fuse or relay of some type that would keep it from communicating?  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I would return the battery while still under warranty and install a different one. It could be a faulty battery.
