Can I safely install a cold-air intake on my 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL?

I don't see why not. But you won't get any real benefits from it.

Why not? Any GM cold-air kit will work. You might have to modify the plastic intake tubes to fit, but easy. The old Olds W30's used scoops in the bumper or high beam headlights were taken out & connected up to long dryer type hoses, so cool.
