Oil mixture inside radiator and over flow reservoir

Good morning..I have a small coolant leak around
gasket.should I flush radiator of all the old crap
and use blue devil gasket sealer? Thanks

I would flush it and see if the oil comes back. A small amount of oil might be OK but a lot of oil means a leaking head gasket. Skip the Blue Devil junk.

Check your transmission fluid too. There's a transmission fluid cooler inside of the radiator that might be leaking transmission fluid into the cooling system. Hope that helps! Jim

My Oldsmobile temperature gage inside the car will show over heating with needle going to max temp and seconds later going back to normal temperature just as quick. I have replaced the intake manifold gasket, temperature sensor, thermastat and radiater cap. I also have tried to burb the system by placing a no spill funnel on the radiater fill inlet and let run for over an hour. The car would burp every few minutes when what I believe was when the thermostat opened and that is when the temp gage inside would go to the max. 2 Answers
