On an 92 Audi wagon I have a fuse that constantly blows and puts the car back in first gear and don't let it shift what do you think the problem is

There must be a faulty wire somewhere. I suggest tracing the wires related to the fuse that keeps blowing. Something in that system has a wire touching something it shouldn't.
