My car keeps getting hot & loosing water

My SUV is overheating, fans work,
thermostat new, loosing water
somewhere by the firewall, can't figure
it out please help .

Sounds like the heater hoses have a leak, they connect to the heater core in the firewall. If they are leaking, then the low coolant level will cause your overheating issue.
