Rebuilding a transmission requires some knowlege and skill and tools. Usually when your tearing into the trans for one bad part, it is best to replace it all. Can't you remove the trans and drop off at a local trans shop for a rebuild? If you want to do it yourself, I suggest you get the service/repair manual for the particular transmission that is in the vehicle, and a rebuild kit, fluid, etc. Find some help on the online Mitsubishi forums and transmission forums. Good Luck!
