My 2002 mitsubishi eclipes dies when I stop the car

Will it stay running if you give it a little gas? If so It's probably your idle air control motor dirty/faulty or dirty throttle plate. I would focus on the iac.

Oh and I know they are high at your local auto parts store but the cheap ones on line are a crap shoot as to whether or not they are any good. I have tried the cheap ones and two out of three are bad right out of the box.
