Does a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS 2door Convertible Have a VOLTAGE REGULATOR ?
We had a diagnose done car was gagging
.02 an is supposed to Gage between 14 &
14.5 we changed the alternator(witch
tested great anyways) we've charging the
battery(witch was fine too)
The car runs great, until I turn on head
lights & heat, then it starts lagging
loosening all power almost dieing till I shut
off lights then ideals very high till I shut off
heat.......then to a perfect ideal.......
If I run only the head lights it does not do
this....... or if I only run the heat it does not
do this........ ANY OPINIONS ? GESTERS ?
We've changed the battery.........it's now brand new......... once i turn on the heat an lights an it does this process & I shut car off, it won't even start AGAIN until it's jumped.....it sounds like a "dead battery"......... We've noticed the "SRS" light has flashed a couple times during the car doing this process too but it does not stay on........
I believe this vehicle has a computer controlled alternator, you need to have this checked out professionally, it could be an ECM causing the whole problem.
