Hole in convertible top

Asked by Aug 26, 2013 at 08:01 AM about the 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 2 Dr GS Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi there.. I have a tiny hole in my convertible top and I'm wondering how I can fix it.  Anyone else have / had that issue?

The correct way would be to take it to an upholstery shop that fixes convertible tops, but if you can't afford that get some duct tape that is the same color as the inside of the top and put over the hole, then get some RTV sealer that is close to the same color as your top and sparingly work some into the hole from the outside and let dry before use, of course this is only a temporary fix, and you should leave the top up until you can have it fixed professionally.
