Taken care of your car can easily go 200,000 miles but there will be repairs along the way.

Well taken care of Mercury Grand Marquis and the very similar Ford Crown Vics and Lincoln Town Cars have frequently gone 300,000+ miles. There will be substantial repairs along the way. The Panther platform on which they were built was a great platform. The Crown Vic has a great reputation while being used as a Taxi Cab.

The seller is asking 4000.00 for it.do think that price is fair for a car with that many miles?

I had a 2002 Mercury GM LS that went 300,000 miles before having to replace the rear main seal, and while the tranny was pulled back I had the transmission rebuilt even though it wasn't a problem

I own a 2010 Grand Marquis LS and I am pushing 300,000 miles. My dad bought it at 30,000 miles from the car's first owner. He gave it to me when this car hit 100,000 miles exactly, which was right before he passed. We have always kept oil changed, but I have only replaced an alternator (around 180,000 miles,) rear wheel bearings (at 255,000 miles,) spark plugs, batteries, wipers, antifreeze, air filters, brakes, rear differential fluid, alot of tires, thermostat (recently replaced,) bulbs, etc,... and had other little maintenance/service work done that was needed. Oh! Also, I replaced a blower motor and resistor for the air conditioner (this summer.) I have NEVER owned a more dependable vehicle and such low maintenance. These cars are unbelievable! Plus, I can still smoke these new cars when these young punks try to race me, and I do every time!

Am the second owner of my Factory ordered Mercury Grand Marquis LS (Real Ultimate Edition, Not a Fleet vehicle) with all the bells and whistles for the last 12 - 14 years. Adult driven. Just turned over 80,200 Miles. This vehicle has cost me nothing but Tires and general Preventive Maintenance with regular Oil Changes. Looks new In and out (Vibrant White Clearcoat) and Tan Interior. Have owned many vehicles over the years. I must say this is the most reliable and most cost efficient vehicle I have every owned. R.S.
