Gauges went out on speedometer and oil gauge

If they aren't digital, which I would pray for your pocketbooks sake that they are analog, it simply means that the cable that operates them has either lost it's taut-ness, or has become detached/broken. These cars are very common, so you should be able to get a new cable from a junkyard for a Crown Vic or Grand Marquis to replace it. (Its actually not to difficult to DIY with many vids on youtube).
