My spark plug is stripped an my socket won't work what can I do to get it out
Do you mean the hex on the spark plug...where the socket fits over...or the threads in the block are stripped?
Should be a 5/8" socket. Did you use the correct one?
Yes the hex on the plug is stripped
You can buy sockets for rounded off nuts that might work. You would likely have to break off the ceramic center part to use the socket though. If you can get a deep socket type then you could probably leave the plug intact. I do find it strange that the plug is rounded off. Did you use the wrong size socket or is it frozen in place? If it is frozen in place in an aluminum head you may strip out the head so I would put some penetrating oil around the plug and let it soak in over night before attempting to remove it. With aluminum heads you should ALWAYS use anti-seize compound on the threads when installing new plugs.
