If the radiator of a Grand Marquis has leaked what and how do I fill it
Add coolant and water mixture to the coolant reservoir, and get over to a repair shop so they can replace the radiator. If the engine starts to overheat, pull over and add more coolant/water and wait till it cools down. Repeat as necessary.
If the leak is very small try Alumaseal in the radiator. It may stop the leak or at least slow it down.
With the engine cold, remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat. Fill the cooling system through the hole where the thermostat goes. Replace the thermostat and housing, using a new gasket, and reinstall the upper radiator hose. Remove the cap from the plastic coolant tank and top it off. Then start the engine and top it off again.
