The battery indicator is always ON

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 1999 Ford Grand Marquis. The battery indicator is always ON and
the Charging Dial Indicator goes over the top. This happens only after I help to
jumpstart a dead battery. What possibly happened to my car? And how can I
rectify this problem? Thanks in advance.

What happened to your car is pretty much bad battery connectors, or wires, if theres any thick white dust, that's called corrosion, take a brush, maybe like a soft toothbrush you don't use anymore, take that, and rub it lightly across the connectors, if that doesn't work, try purchasing new wires, new connectors, and if that doesn't work, buy a whole new battery along with the wires, and the connectors.
