i have a 1998 Mercury grand Marquis, I would like to know the torque spec on the harmonic balancer. please
Tight as your 1/2 air at120psi will go
Or 85ft lbs if your going by the book
I always put a dab of silicone or pipe thread sealer on the threads just in case. Don't want an oil leak after all that work.
Negative. Silicone will create issues when another service is required down rhe road. Theres no oil in the threaded hole of crank shaft anyway. Its only purpose is to secure vibration dampner. Oil is what the front main seal does ......
Whatever. I suppose a well-seasoned professional like yourself knows what you're talking about. Not.
Baaahahaha Just my whoke life and past 12 years with chrysler i guess but still learning as is everyone
