97 Grand Marquis: No Turn Signal, but I do have brake lights and hazard lights...

Asked by May 07, 2016 at 10:17 PM about the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis 4 Dr GS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I brought my 97 Grand Marquis in to have the switch looked at. It was fine, but there is another issue they wanted to charge me $200 just to look at. Thought I'd save some money by asking online...
I have brake lights and hazard lights. All the functions on the column work except both blinkers are out. Please help!

Check by checking and/or replacing bulbs!

If the car has a flasher, check that.

It's not the bulbs or the flasher.

May be the turn signal switch in steering column

Lighting controller? They go bad a lot, and are under recall. rebuilt ones on EBAY and elsewhere. My 2005 went bad.
