The headlight switch is a low voltage device that operates the lights through the Lighting Control Module which operates ALL of the lights. I have replace many in our fleet with exactly the same concern - hold on to your wallet!

ok....So if i replace the Lighting control Module that should solve the problem... would i need to buy a brand new one or can i get one from another car.

I would certainly look at the Salvage Yard option first. Get it from a similarly equipped vehicle if possible. You might try e-bay too. I've replaced 3 LCM's this week for 2008 Crown Victoria PI's and they're $330 each. (That's just a price example) The first one flashed the Headlights - the second one blew fuses - the third made weird noises at random times. (It's kinda funny when a cop is all flustered about a noise he can't find that's driving him nuts.) I told him to turn the radio up but he didn't think that was funny.

Replace headlight switch. Ebay, is your best bet when saving money, for about thirty dollars.

When, or if your lights are going on and off, sound like you have a shortage in your headlight wiring system, a loose wire, not connected, or grounded properly. Inspect light plug for loose plug, or damaged wire.
