This is puzzling. I think this is before the years with the LCM lighting control module. Do the turn signals work? Did the missing fuse blow when you put in a new one? Someone took it out for a reason. Could be an actual short, maybe at the brake light sockets. Check 'em for corrosion.

The car kept inside so doubt if any corosion on light bulb sockets. The point of LCM...1995 so I dont know. 1 owner clean clean62K The radio will not punch off as I punched it on,,have to turn down Volume,,The taillights work when headlight are on but no brake lights but cyclops does work,NO all. The signal flasher was removed under dash when I got car home 1 st time and did not blow when put new in? Thanks so much

We have to find out if your car has a LCM(they go bad and cause all kinds of problems, there was a recall). I've been doing auto electrical for many decades, and I'm still baffled. One possibility is the turn signal switch, stop lights go through it, it's not working, prime suspect. I think you have to pull the steering wheel, not so much fun with airbags.
