1993 Mercury Grand Marquis Restoration
Ok. So I just bought a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis for my college auto classes. Now I
want to remove the stock dash board and replace it with a 1993 Crown Victoria. I also
would like any help I can get with door panels as well. It also has a lot of body work that
needs to be done, as I said a project car for class. Thanks so much!
So your looking for used parts? Try your local salvage/auto recycle yards, craigslist, ebay ,etc. You might want to frequent the Crown Vic forums and check out hte classified sections.
Is what I'm really looking for is the technical information of wiring harnesses and maybe even a step-by-step for removal of the door panels/dash board. Maybe you could point me in the right direction, because I spent around 4 hours looking around for a good one and has no luck.
Well, it's official, I'm old!! I bought a '93 Chevy Caprice brand new and now someone is restoring a car of the same model year! How time flies! Anyhow, what you're looking for is a factory shop manual and a factory body manual for your Grand Marquis. Try ebay and Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside, California. Faxon has a website. BTW I have an '08 Grand Marquis that I bought to replace the '93 Caprice. Good luck with your restoration!! HTH. -Jim
