my 1993 mercury marquis has transmission fluid leaking from the seal on the torque convertor, what could be the problem and how much would it cost

Whatever a transmission shop charges to remove the trans and replace the seal. Try Lucas transmission additive first, sometimes miracles happen. I've seen it do wonders.
