Where is the ambient temperature sensor located in the 1990-91 Grand Marquis with automatic temperature control?
my 1991 Grand Marquis has problems with temperature control in my
automatic temperature controlled heating a/c system. Where will I find the
ambient temperature control sensor ...cabin? ...underdash?...near heater/vent
controls? under hood ( prob not? )...I think a 1990 would be the same.....
Just behind the grille, in front of the air conditioning condenser. HTH. -Jim
Thanks so much,... so this senses the outside temperature... do you know if there is also a sensor...a thermometer inside the cabin?..it would send the temperature to the automatic system , to shut things down when desired level is reached in the cabin.
You're welcome. Glad to help. Thank you for the best answer click! Yes, there's an in car temperature sensor. It's in the dash. My, '08 model has that sensor behind a little grille on the dash just to the left of the climate control panel. HTH. -Jim
Thanks again. I don't think it is in the same place on the 1991..will keep looking...Air is working now,, but thought I might find it while I had dash open.
You're welcome. Glad to help. -Jim
