RR door leaks water, how do I fix it?

Asked by Jan 07, 2015 at 02:33 PM about the 2004 Lincoln Town Car Signature

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gutter seal looks good and has no damage or apparent defects.
The door seal looks good and has no damage or apparent defects.
The door frame seal looks good and has no damage or apparent defects.
When testing the situation the floorboard has 1/2" of water, but the door seals were dry.
There are no holes in the body or door. How is the water getting in and how do I fix it?

My 1998 town car did the same thing. The problem was the seal under the hood where there is a vent to bring in out side air. Check and see if the carpet is wet in front passenger side. Comes in the front and goes to the back passenger floor and collects there. Found a video on utube how to fix it. Same as a ford crown Vic and Mercury Marquis
