how do you replace the engine drive belt
Get a pen and paper and draw circles representing your pulleys and draw a line representing the path of your belt (providing there isn't already a diagram available). With a 3/8" ratchet or breaker bar (preferred), insert the square end into the belt tensioner and relieve the tension on the belt and remove it from the Alternator. Remove the belt. Installation is the reverse of removal - put the belt on the Alternator pulley last.
Make a mental note of the belts positioning but not it's current tension. Some vehicles make it impossible to replace belt without first removing Alt pulley. Good Luck!
The tensioner is spring loaded - duh.
