1998 Lincoln towncar signature series tail lights shut off while driving at night
I don't know what to do. I was driving at 950pm and
I got pulled over due to no tail lights. With in the
time of the traffic stop and the time I was getting
ready to go I asked the officer to wait a sec allow
me to swap out fuses. I started the car turned lights
on walked around the car and the tail lights were on
Has the second fuse blown? If not AND it's the same amperage as the original fuse just keep an eye on it. Looks like you've made a few upgrades to your Lincoln. Are the taillight bulbs the original style and number? If not, the bulbs may be pulling too much power through the circuit and causing the fuse to blow. Nice looking car, BTW!! HTH. -Jim
Did u still get a ticket?
I have blown no fuses
Lights are stock all original I just added 4 12s 2000 watt amp
Thanks for replying Jim
You're welcome. Glad to help. Sorry that you got the ticket anyway! That stinks!! I'd just keep an eye on it for now. Sometimes, not very often, but sometimes a fuse will blow for no apparent reason. They can be finicky. But if it does blow again, time to start checking wires for damage. HTH. -Jim
The fuses weren't blown That's why I'm stuck. Bulbs are fine
