Replaced the battery, now AC blows hot air

Asked by Sep 06, 2016 at 02:59 PM about the 1995 Lincoln Town Car Executive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The CCA was below what was neede and the battery was more than 3 years old so I
purchased a new battery at Advance Auto.  They installed the new battery, and as I drove
away, the AC was blowing hot air.  I went back and they claim they did nothing to cause
that. I went to an auto shop, and the mechanic suggested it was the doors that open or
close to let in cold air from the AC or hot air from the heater.  He said the AC was working
properly.  Apparently swapping the battery caused the doors to no longer open/shut as
directed.  What needs to be done to have the doors working properly again?
