On those door nunber pads, the 1-2 is the same thing. If your code has a 1, you can hit 2 and it will work. If 3, 4 will work, and so on. The button does not know the difference it has only one contact. Code 1-3-5-7 and code 2-4-6-8 are the same So what I am getting at, just press 1, not 1 then 2, by pressing it twice may be the problem. That's what they mean by saying "press 1-2".. that button one time only...good luck hope this helps

I just bought a 2001 Lincoln Town Car. If you referring to the keypad above the drivers door handle, I found the code on the trunk hinge left side facing forward. Might be different on your 1995 model. Also learned that the code might be under the dash on the fuse box and that you will need a mirror to read it. Good luck

Also try pressing the last two numbers to the right together. It should lock all of your doors. Be sure of course to have the key in your pocket :-)

Magnafique thanks for the trunk hinge tip, worked great! Mine was on passenger side for my 2001
