window lift motor

Asked by retroeguy Jul 23, 2011 at 10:36 PM about the 1992 Lincoln Town Car Executive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

passenger side window doesn't go up/down...
the motor looks like it's attached with some kind of rivet and can be drilled out then replaced with nuts/bolts
any thoughts on my idea...

You're correct, you can drill the rivets and bolt it back in place. (or if you want the factory look, rivet them back)

Just be Careful if it is spring loaded to assist the window going up...those springs can remove a finger or more if in the way...
