Why does my 90 town car's brake lights stop working when I adjust my steering wheel down?

Everytime I adjust my steering wheel down my brake lights won't work.  But when I raise it back up they work.????  Is there a wire in the steering column that I'm pinching to cause the brake lights to quit working?

Yes there is a whole cluster of wires that run up the column to the combo switch, you will have to remove the column covers to gain access to the wiring, then you can see if it is a bad wire or the connector pins are loose.
