Radio static all stations

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We just bought the car and the radio has constant static and difficult to power
off. Not sure if it is just a short or needs a new wire harness or new radio.

For radio station static, I'd look at the antenna connection on the back of the radio , maybe it is loose. But you said he have issue powering off the radio, so to me it sounds like it's time to replace it. Find a used one for your car at an auto salvage yard or ebay, should be cheap enough.

Thank you Tom. We will look at antenna and also see if we can find a replacement radio. It also has a cassette player with CD player in the back.
