I have a 96 lexus ls 400. What is the noise it makes after it is turned off. Heard it was something to do with smog control. My boyfriend says its a burping noise. Curious

Your boyfriend is messing with you. Burping. Uh huh. Right. You don't exactly describe the sound, What you might be hearing is the fan...if it stops after a minute or two, if you mean like a 'tick tick' that is the cat cooling off, geez lots of things and not to worry as long as it does not continue and starts everytime.
