ignition key wont turn

the key goes inand turns so that the radio is on but it stops there and does not turn over

Not sure about the Lexus, but on most cars, the have a wheel interlock that will stop you from starting the car. DId you try turning the steering wheel back and forth to unlock it? You have to turn it hard. Is the transmission all the way in park, sometimes the trans interlock will not activate as well. Is all is well, then I would say your due for an new ignition lock cylinder.
