Not being able to hear the sound I would suggest making sure all the spark plugs are tight and do a close visual inspection of the exhaust manifold while the engine is running. Try to hear where the sound is coming from. Be careful and don't get hands, fingers, clothing, hair or jewelry caught in something moving.
