Wat would cause my car not to start if I lock it with the remote key then unlock it. Car dosent turn over or anything and my car is a1998 Audi A4 1.8t
If I lock my Audi A4 1.8 with the remote key
and then unlock then I I try to start it and
nothing no turn over nothing. Wat would
As meaning nothin I meaning if turning over or the starter going have full power in the batter
Reset key hold the unlock down on the fob… put it in lock turn to lock and back to unlock all while holding the unlock button down get in car put key in ignition turn it to on all while still holding it down wait 5 secs pull key out release button
I've had my girlfriend try it while I'm at work and didn't work. The previous owner told me when he used to lock it the same way it would make the car alarm go of at at time for a while. But never had a problem starting. I did get it to start twice yesterday but it wouldn't start after that
Sorry next thought would be a corroded wire from the battery. But if your getting some power that probably isn't the case. Do you have qb anti theft ?did you do the safe mode on your radio?
I have found it has been the starter. But this is good information that someone cause use that you have given me!!!
I have replaced the starter and that wasn't it. I hear a click under the dash and under the right side of the engine bay. No crank to starter or anything wat would be causing it
That is where the corroding wire would be.. I have a 2006 and I lost power to it all after a while had a flat bed take it in and they torr it up dash everything (jerks) (elite auto DON'T GO) BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE A WIRE AND THEY didn't even replace it but charged me 400.00 (my insurance paid for the flatbed) but I'm sorry good luck did you check the battery in smart key?
