my warning light says to service electrical brake system. are my brakes going out?
You need to have them checked to see if they need serivce of any kind..
I have been studying the owners manual for your car, 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Page 163 and 164 show three warning symbols for brakes.. (!) - (P) -(ABS) - the exclamation point, the P and the ABS inside a circle. Does it actually spell out in text "Service Electrical Brake System" - on you dash, instrument cluster? I need to dig deeper in to this to give you anything accurate, but I really do feel confident that this does NOT mean your brake are in danger if imminent failure. I was away reading the manual when joemom posted. But if you are uncomfortable with your brakes, if the pedal does not feel 'right', that is the best advice. Have them inspected by a dealer or reputable shop. joemoms is good advice
I feel that your ABS sensor are going bad. And you might need to change them.
Our 2005 Jeep is saying the same. We took it in the first time the message came up and it broke down. They fixed a recall on the ignition and replaced the battery. We had no other issues until this week the message came up again.
what does this mean ?
