My Jeep move forward in reverse?

Asked by May 29, 2015 at 05:06 AM about the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At first my vehicle seem as if the reverse gear was going out. It would barely move when pressing the accelerator. Now it goes forward when put in reverse. The Neutral gear is neutral. Drive 1, 2, and 3 is okay.

So either the TCM is sending a drive signal instead of reverse to the shift solenoids, or the reverse solenoid is not turning on and applying the reverse band, or the reverse band is broke inside the transmission. Don't you just love computer controlled transmissions,UGGH.
