I bought a 2004 grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L on july 9th. Still undercwarranty but dealer wont help unless internal parts defectivez 7 days after purchase it died whike on way to gas station. My oil ..
...pressure went 3/4 up n my water temp
was in red zone ( over 260) since then I had
new radiator installed n 16lb used radiator
cap on n thermostat replaced ( 2nd hand) .
The overflow water RAPIDLY boils after few
miles n empties after cooling down. I dont
want warped heads.. What can I do? Water
pum? Faulty parts? Not bled properly? Its
only 15 days I've had this Jeep . Please
suggest a resolution. Dealer sux n nit helpful.
Too costly for lawyer n timely. The water
temp gauge has always been on 200-210
when driving but then goes to the danger
zone in a seconds time after 10 miles.
Is the water pump moving water thru the system? Are the cooling fans coming on at the correct temperature. Could be bad pump, fan sensor or fan motor.
I dont know. Not sure how to check that. It seems to. Not overheat as fast when the ac is on. I planned on driving without ac ( up to 15 miles) n see if overheats quicker but i hate to blow the heads.
It was the propellir of the fan in tbe water pump $324 total n so far ( 48 hrs) my gauge goes up to only 210 degrees with ac on. No overheating Thank you
