a noise and movement coming from the front end.
When ever you go to reverse then drive then go forward and the first time you
use the brakes there is a popping noise, you roll down the window and hear it,
you can also feel through the drivers side floor board. Its sounds like
something is shifting or popping in or out place, i was thinking possible a ball
joint bur i cant be for sure, anyone have any ideas?
Axle on that side, try looking at the CV boot for tears.
The porblem was there before and then it went away, if it's the same thing again it won't do it 4 wheel drive
There is a little clearance between the disc brake pads and the caliper on each wheel. It's normal if they "click" once when reversing direction. Also, there are two bolts holding the calipers in place that might be loose. Might be a good idea to have a trustworthy shop take a quick look for free. They could check ball joints and axles too. But don't get talked into a brake job unless you really need one. I hope this helps.
My 2016 Cherokee does this when I am driving down the road or when I turn. I have had my jeep in the dealership more than I get to drive it.they have yet to figure it out and I amost have all new parts in the front end. Wish they could figure it out. It’s getting old!
