what is all on the rear wiper fuse

Asked by egghead Mar 14, 2010 at 08:27 PM about the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My vanity lights overhead don't work , along with the rear wiper and the back glass don't work either. There was a blown fuse in it when i bought the jeep and blew the new one i put in after i changed the seat heater. I took off the liftgate panel and looked for bare wires. NONE  Maybe bad motor??  Why am I blowing fuses?

Interior lights and rear wiper are on the same fuse. I have the same issue. All indications are that there is exposed wire somewhere that is shorting out, but I have yet to find it.

Same here! :) lol. I just bought an incredible good condition Jeep Cherokee and the interior lights didn't work. So I check and the fuse was dead. I put new fuse and will blow in seconds, but thos 1 or 2 seconds the litghs works. I guess the same cable that come out from the fuse box will go up to the roof and go all back to the rear wiper. For now, I will take + from the headpanel mini computer to feed the lights, until I will find the problem. May be with time I will disconect the rear wiper. May be the motor is the problem. If any have the solution pleas post here ! :)
