My 2002 jeep grand Cherokee is smoking and has a smell of burnt rubber or plastic
I just bought this car from a friend a little
over a week ago, and have had no trouble
with it but on the way home today it started
smoking and had this smell. Gages read
normal it wasn't over heating or anything.
Any one have a idea what could be Goin on
Maybe oil leaking dripping onto the exhaust. Get under the car and hood to inspect.
And it never hurts to check all your fluid levels. I know that in the past I have had that smell from a hose leak on my power-steering pump. If the engine compartment is greasy or there is a lot of build up. Take it to a car- wash. Open the hood and use the degreaser setting and power wash it off. That can help you find a leak a little easier.
