2001 jeep grand cherokee

Asked by Apr 12, 2016 at 07:46 AM about the 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 jeep cherokee is completely dying when it
rains.  Absolutely nothing happens when you open
the door turn the ignition open the hood.  No dome
lights no click click from starter.    The battery is
only 8 or 10 months old. If I jump it, it will start
right up and stay running. No problem. But after it
sits overnight with the rain then it is completely
dead.

Check your battery cables, a dirty or corroded cable can cause this when moisture content rises. Make sure the posts and the terminal ends are shiny clean, none of that black corrosion.
