when i make a left turn in my jeep cherokee the rpm's rev to 4000. is it my transmission? thanks
you most likely have a bad motor mount which on the pulls the accelerator cable and throttle~
I had a '59 pontiac that'd do that...if you went to far the linkage would flex to FULL acceleration and only the ignition key could save you~....when it settled down would return to normal...it was the motor mount~
Have you checked the tranny fluid? If it is low that could cause the tranny to drop out of gear on a turn then slam right back into gear when the fluid returns back into the pan. Then do what the judge stated about the mounts.
my 1996 oldsmobile transmission disengage when turning left
