1999 grand cherokee larado front axle shaft seal
Keep getting the wrong seal from parts
warehouses and even the dealer.
Where can i find the right part. The
seals i keep getting fit the shaft but are
to big for the housing
the seal will be bigger as it needs to be pressed in. It should only be slightly bigger like a 1/16th in diameter, not physically bigger
This seal will collapse if we try to press it in
it has been a while since I changed one you may need to machine a tool to keep the inside straight whilst being pressed in
Its way to big to press in. Theres no way it can be put in without destroying the seal
Maybe the person who owned it before you changed it, got one at a salvage yard from a different year but it still bolts up correctly. Ive had dozens of customers who bought boneyard parts only to find out that while they bolt onto the vehicle, the years are different
